MAIN RIFF(S)
- the following is the way i play it and i'm convinced
Adam plays it this way too
- blues style: quarter bend (i.e. ^) the notes whenever
possible for accenting
- i know for sure Adam uses an autowah, along with
crunch-type distortion from his Marshall, with reverb
- faint delay/echo, but noticeable nonetheless.

E-|-------------------------------------------------|
- my friend, who is a slightly better guitarist, decides
to play it this way with a slight variation at the end
which shows his style... but yeahh choose one...

"TAKE THE LONG RAOD AND WALKKK ITTTTT YESSS!!"
- same as the previous riffs except no autowah,
reverb is higher and delay/echo is more noticeable
and set longer and accurately to fit with the tempo...
or - these same notes are played but in a way where delay
isn't used but sounds as if it is (live version)

KEY
h - pick left note and hammer on to right note
p - " " " " pull off " " "
x2 - repeat twice or whatever number is there... you're smart enough to
work it out aye?
^ - quarter bend or slight bend i.e if the note is a G you're aiming to
bend to the note roughly between G and G#
^^ - semitone bend i.e. if the note is a G you're aiming to bend roughly
to the note G# or Ab which is one semitone or half a tone higher
than the picked tone (G).
^^^- tone bend i.e. if the note is G you're aiming to bend roughly to the
note A which is one tone higher than the picked tone (G).
` - accompanies a bend. pick the note while bent to the aimed note
- downbend, when accompanying a bend and means that the note should be
bended back or released back to its original note.
when not accompanying a bend follows the same rules as normal bends
but in reverse effect i.e. on the B-string: 9> means to bend a
quarter up then pick then bend back or release down while note is
sounding. The same applies for 9>> or 9>>> accept the notes are
bent a semitone up then picked or a tone up then picked respectively
/ - pick the first note then slide up to the second note, picking the
second note is optional
\ - pick the first note then slide down to the second note, picking the
second note is optional
~ - vibrato, the fret finger is shaken to create the effect of a note
"shaking" in pitch.
~~ - wide vibrato, the note is slightly bended (usually less than a
quarter bend or otherwise indicated) repeatedly to create a more
dramatic vibrato
x - pick the strings while muting them with fret hand to create a
percussive sound.
